I have been playing around with this still-life photo for a while, trying to get the shadow of the coffee cup handle sharp. This was a good as I could get it.
I finally invested in lighting equipment which should help. Until now I have just been using handheld lighting. Sometimes even a cell phone.
I processed the photo in Photoshop. I shot it with my Nikon D850 with f5 and ISO at 6400. The room setting was completely dark and only used my cell photo to light up the subject.

Hi Lori,
I've been admiring your image because the lines and curves are interesting to me and held my attention. At first I didn't recognize it as coffee cup, but once my eye followed the curve of the handle I was able to realize what it was. I find it intriguing to see an image that is partially obscured and be able to visualize its whole. Great job!
I'm curious to learn, is the cup's handle is fashioned into an actual heart outline, perhaps red?
