About the Image(s)
My photo is a dahlia that took last summer. Tried to get the center in focus, and I liked the water drops on it. I took it into PS and added some contrast and a vignette.

What can I say about this? It is a great close-up. Even the square aspect is complimentary. For me, I would like to see a bit of lightening right under the center bud where it is so dark. Just a little brush work could bring that out (but only a tiny bit!)   Posted: 01/12/2025 17:09:37

Beautiful dahlia! Who doesn't love to shoot dahlias with all their s & twirls? I like your choice of a square format and the water droplets are a real plus. I would lighten up the bottom side of the center of the flower as it's a bit in the shadows. I would also desaturate it just a tad as the color seems a bit off, at least on my monitor. Lovely capture.   Posted: 01/12/2025 18:55:02

Hi Ruth, Wow! Those water drops seem to sparkle and I find the vibrant orange and green to be dramatic against the back. The petals at the bottom left seem a bit hidden in the shadows, but I admire the sense of mystery that this image conveys to me.   Posted: 01/25/2025 23:46:25
