This image is of a lady that was sitting in her walker smoking a cigarette on Royal Street in New Orleans. She was across the street from where I was taking this image. The time was 12:35 in the middle of the day, but she was sitting under a balcony and it shaded her face and I got even lighting. I feel like she was really enjoying herself. There was a street band she was listening to. I was using my Nikon Camera with 70mm-200mm Lens, 1/60 sec, F 5.6 and ISO 125 and I was using a monopod. The processing I did to the image was in Photoshop and Camera Raw.

Linda, this is my sort of shot! Great attitude shown here. I like the way you have cropped the finished shot and removed several of the distractions beneath the handlebars of her device. This works very well in mono too and brings out the character in her face. The only issue, if it really is one, is the stuff in her glasses. You could edit them out but maybe that would look false. Linda -- What a great character shot! I think the even light works really well. The sunglasses are really the star attraction with the added attraction of the reflection. I think this is a wonderful image. Posted: 05/13/2023 14:35:03
Linda - great shot. The definition of her features and skin are bang on, and I particularly like the naturalness of the pose. You removed the bag straps without error (not easy I am sure). Only suggestion is that her right arm and the wall are very close in tone and I might have used the unique color in the upper wall to adjust its brightness during conversion to provide more differentiation.
