It's that time of year when the maple trees in the surrounding yards cover my yard with these seed pods. I have to clean them up even though I have no trees. Ugh!!!
This 2.5x capture is SOOC, with the seed pod backlit. Suggestions?

Well, the tree had "paid" you in kind, Tom! I like this, I'd not have guessed what it was. I've no suggestions, it has come out well.   Posted: 05/16/2023 15:27:03
You are the master of surprising Macro subjects, Tom! I would have thought this was shadows cast on the ground from a tree if I didn't know better! It is a great abstract image. If I was really grasping for any suggestion, I would say on the left side and lower edge it is a bit soft, but nothing that detracts from the serenity of the image for me.   Posted: 05/16/2023 20:47:59
Hi Tom, I really like your image - I like it looks so abstract. It could be so many things - initially I thought of the circulatory system or rivers and their affluents from space... the only thing I might change is the title to make it more mysterious!   Posted: 05/23/2023 16:55:43

How about "Membranes"?   Posted: 05/27/2023 11:46:50

Love this artistic presentation of the maple seed..   Posted: 05/27/2023 23:37:11
Tom, it is a great subject - I thought at first it was leaf-veins... agree iwth the anatomical reference also, capillaries. this is one that might be good to see side by side as 5.6 vs f10-14. could be used as a textured background for some project. probably differnt colored lights behind it.
