About the Image(s)
I shot this in Morocco. It's a semi candid image as the one young man spotted me in the act. Camera Canon 5D IV, lens Canon RF 16 - 35 f4, at 23mm. 1/30 second, f11, ISO 640. I cropped the original a little and I thought the original was soft so I sharpened it in Topaz Sharpen. I converted to B&W although I do really like the color version as well, in my opinion both versions have a very different feel.

Great street shot. I like that the boy is looking at you, while the other two subjects are looking at each other. I prefer the B&W because I then focus much more on the people. I like the leading lines from the doors.   Posted: 05/09/2023 09:48:40
Thanks for the comments Beth. I also like the interaction.   Posted: 05/10/2023 10:52:05
Your description is excellent. Isn't it fun to make a picture of someone who has you figured out. Great street shot with lot's of interest. BW is best for all street photography.   Posted: 05/09/2023 11:30:39
Thanks Chuck. I like when they see you but don't strike a pose. This kid is just like, so what he's taking a photo.   Posted: 05/10/2023 10:53:34
The black and white version makes the people stand out more. Seeing the first boy look away suggests that he saw you coming or something. The straight lines seem to lead us to the three people. It looks like a good use of the rule of thirds. I like how the scene suggests culture.   Posted: 05/10/2023 07:43:51
Thanks Susan. I agree, certain images just seem better in B&W. I appreciate your comments.   Posted: 05/10/2023 10:54:35
I love the texture here. I am not sure if it is done in-house or actually came out with that matte-like finish. It makes the feeling of Morraco. Beautifully done!   Posted: 05/24/2023 07:11:43
