Pictures by wandering around. On the streets of downtown Washington, DC, near Ford’s Theater (where Lincoln was assented) and just a few blocks from the White House I came across this little shop. I think it was for both the locals and the tourists. I call it “essentials” because I think it is. For me, it is a fun image that makes me smile.
Shot with a 50mm lens on a 20 megapixel sensor. Probably f5.6, 250th and. Auto white balance.and ISO.

I'm glad no one was standing in the window when you took the picture.
Definitely a fun shot. It is truly amazing what one can find on the streets that makes one smile. We tend to think of street photography as dramatic and maybe sad or upsetting. As you have shown, it cal also brighten up a day. Posted: 09/05/2023 19:07:56
