This is a quite a dramatic and artful image of this stairwell. Lots of detail, and drama captured in an imaginative manner. That being said, I am not sure that this image is appropriate for our Close-up / Macro study group. Generally speaking, a macro short is one where the subject is roughly the size of a postage stamp, and a Close-up shot is roughly the size of a loaf of bread (no larger). Your subject in obviously larger than the later definition. This is a great shot, but perhaps not for this specific study group.   Posted: 05/08/2023 13:53:05

Charlie, Sorry, you are absolutely right. This photo was meant for another DD group I belong to. In my moving endeavor I was too stressed out and sent you the wrong image. By next month I should have my wits about me.   Posted: 05/12/2023 17:43:32

Not a problem (or a big one). Moving can be ever so stressful. Looking forward to your next submission.   Posted: 05/13/2023 10:49:21

Hi Priscilla, A highly impactful picture of a staircase composed in an artistic manner. I find the very bottom part of the picture very interesting with the vertical pieces leading you down to the steps.

In the upper dark part there are some distractions that could be cloned out for a cleaner picture. While they are not terribly distracting, they are there none the less.

I have a stair case picture I would like to share with you, however cannot post it here in our close-in forum.   Posted: 05/11/2023 12:06:11

Hi Murphy, Whoops, I made an error. I was moving last month and sent the wrong picture to this group. I will have to check the other DD group and see what I sent them. You may view the correct image next month.   Posted: 05/12/2023 17:50:14

This is a lovely abstract image! The colors are nicely displayed as well as the composition you chose to display. I might have removed the dots on the left side but that is a matter of choice. Great shot!   Posted: 05/11/2023 15:25:54

Hi Priscilla,
Great shot. Your perspective of the staircase is strong. The steps and lines sweeping down into the black background adds mystery and interest. You captured sharp details. Nicely done.   Posted: 05/12/2023 08:53:24

Priscilla, even though this image is not a macro one, it is still a striking photo!   Posted: 05/30/2023 21:02:32
