Karl, Interesting subject, for sure! You have brought out texture of the clothing and skin. My eye tends to go to the color area around the neck so maybe bring down the highlights in that area. I also like the color version. It has a fun and interesting quality to it with all the bright colors and really shows the blue eyes. What an interesting character and expression. I like your crop very much - it's kind of "in your face" and it works for this subject. I think both the monochrome and the colour (if cropped as in the BW) have merit. The final version is quite grainy but, to me, the noise could be seen to fit with the subject. The close crop bringing this guy "into our faces" works well. A fun image!   Posted: 05/11/2023 21:08:46

I like the photo. Great character and expression. To me it seems a little flat and clothes bright taking away from the face. I added contrast, tone down the face and brighten the eyes.
