Mark, Love this image. Such a perfect image. You even have the four birds posing for you. I love lighthouses. The only thing I would like to see is more room next to the little red building at the bottom right and more room on the left .   Posted: 05/09/2023 23:22:59
I really like fog and you have captured it well in the scene. It is a great New England scene of a Lighthouse and associated buildings. You even got the flag to unfurl for your shot. The colors are nice and soft and the fog makes them even more so. I like your foreground element of the rocks which anchor and lead us into your image. If this were my image I would put a little glow where the light is on the lighthouse to show it doing its job, but that's just me. Very nice shot.   Posted: 05/18/2023 17:06:23
Thank you Bruce. I was initially disappointed about the fog. I took several shots to get the flag right.   Posted: 05/26/2023 10:42:00
Nice job with this scene, Mark. I like how the shape of the different structures is similar enough to tie the elements together, but not so similar that we get the cookie cutter feeling. The complementary red and green combination is a winner. I also like how the buildings are arranged. The diagonal from lower left to upper right is a really nice compositional element. The fog creates a calming mood and makes me spend time here. The arrangement in the frame is very pleasing, and the red elements are placed throughout the image and invite the eyes to wander throughout the frame.   Posted: 05/26/2023 07:39:47
