The rose was photographed last year at The Alnwick Garden in Northumberland, whilst we were on holiday. It was quite a bright sunny day but fortunately the rose was mostly in shade. The image was taken with an Olympus OM-D E-M5 MkII with a 12-40mm lens at 40mm. Camera was handheld. The camera settings were manual focus, aperture priority, f5.6, 1/400s.
I applied simple image adjustments in ACR and the following processing steps in Photoshop:
Copied the background layer and masked off the flower.
Added a few of my own textures over the background.
Reduced the saturation and slightly changed the hue of the flower.
Lightened the outside of the image and added the frame.

I love what you did to this flower!! The background is fabulous and I love how you softened the flower! Thank you for posting it!   Posted: 05/01/2023 23:52:58

Love the merging of the background with the petals of the flower.I would have preferred a more sharper center core of the flower. Nice qork   Posted: 05/11/2023 20:48:29
