About the Image(s)

After some basic processing in ACR, I did more adjustments in Photoshop; such as cropping, fix the bottom edge of her top, and the red glare at the bottom edge. Her left shoulder bone bothered me and so I flatten that some. I also brightened her eyes a bit and applied a small vignette. Lastly, which perhaps should have been first, I toned down and further blurred the background.

Nicely done. A good choice of backdrops and nicely blurred background. Only suggestion is that I would have cropped the bottom a bit more and eliminated the skin on the bottom. Nice expression and its amazing that there is no frizz on the hair--all in place.   Posted: 05/05/2023 10:55:33

This is an example of how some excellent post-processing work can enhance the original RAW image. Nice work.   Posted: 05/09/2023 08:11:32

Nice portrait work Joe. Sometimes portraits can be over done and create a very false appearance. This one is done right and the model is very natural looking. I agree with Al about cropping out the tummy. The background is nicely blurred and darkened, although there is a bright spot just above the part in her hair. Overall, very very nice.   Posted: 05/09/2023 16:38:14

Guess I'm going to be the odd one here but to me she seems a little harsh. I agree with cropping out the tummy and I do like the background.   Posted: 05/09/2023 16:43:16

Okay Friends, I aim to please. I have toned down the bright spot (I did not want to overdo it) and hidden the tummy.   Posted: 05/09/2023 18:08:04

Nice, sharp features and skin tones. You might think that the vivid pink tones of her top might conflict with the other natural colors, but I think it works in this case. The tree trunk on the right is a good framing device, but the bright colors at top left are a bit bright (still), and there's a slight outline running along her right arm. Otherwise, a job very well done!   Posted: 05/22/2023 09:38:16

I like the color tones of the models skin and top, but I'd like to see the tree and background a bit lighter. Cropping the tummy out looks better, but it then it cuts the models arms off at the elbow, which is a portrait no no. However, as we all know rules are meant to be broken!!   Posted: 05/27/2023 09:33:23
