About the Image(s)
When I was in Kansas, I visited Abilene and the presidential memorial of President. Eisenhower. He was buried in the Place of Meditation where you will find his words: ⬓Every gun made, every warship launched, every rocket fired⬠is a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothedâ¬â¬
My color image was shot with a 14 mm lens, 1/6 sec, f 5.0 and ISO at 200. The image of Eisenhower is that of a statue of him which I converted to mono and then placed in the top layer at 78% opacity.

What wise words. You have done a good job here especially with the stained glaass. for my taste I would have kept the figure free of text and reflections but would it be possible to have the words flowing from his lips? And, being picky, just a little more base for him to stand on.   Posted: 05/13/2023 14:58:42

It's well done. In a way you don't want to remove the text on the walls but they are part of the memorial and the message. Could those words be put in readable font size between the 2 flags?   Posted: 05/20/2023 03:46:06
I really like this story - and you made this image a beautiful tribute to a great General.
Only one minor suggestion - assume that this Eisenhower is his 'ghost', and with this in mind it might be interesting to use an even lower opacity for a more ghost-like effect. In any case, well done   Posted: 05/21/2023 12:16:24

Thanks Gunter, I will try that.   Posted: 05/21/2023 15:22:55
Jim,
Great creative idea. The only change I would make would be to lessen the opaqueness of Eisenhower as to my eye, he seems pretty solid and I though initially that the room might have. been set up like that. Ike was quite a military figure and president. Not only the quote you gave us but his whole stance against the military-industrial complex, which we didn't heed, unfortunately.. You did a great job including the lighting of the chapel/   Posted: 05/21/2023 15:41:12
