About the Image(s)
Original was a shot of a jazz band taken in front of a windmill at Keukenhof
Gardens in the Netherlands.
Image was cropped, surrounding/background people roughly cloned out then run
through Corel Painter Essentials 4 using the watercolour sketch facility,
finally lightened slightly.

Colourful and graphic. I find the effect a bit OTT for my liking, and would have preferred in toned down a little to reduce the facial blurring a bit!   Posted: 12/04/2019 05:26:28
I like the watercolour effect, but perhaps use a mask so that the faces are less distorted.   Posted: 12/10/2019 08:13:59
I thought about it again, maybe you wanted their identity not to be seen.   Posted: 12/29/2019 07:39:59

Perhaps this is just a tad overworked (I know that's rich coming from me!!!) It is the faces where I find the real problems occur in this type of work as they leave all sorts of strange effects. My solution is to make sure you work on a duplicate layer. Then after applying your chosen effect create a layer mask so you can brush away the effect on the faces so that they look more believable.   Posted: 12/12/2019 14:09:10

I like the artistic effect here but wish the windmill wasnt quite so prominent. If you hadnt said so in your notes, I wouldnt have know what is was.   Posted: 12/12/2019 14:42:47

Thanks, I'll have another look at making the faces clearer.   Posted: 12/22/2019 13:00:23
