About the Image(s)
A photo from Ski jumping world cup in Planica, Slovenia. It was captured on smaller 120m ski jump.
This is not a quite usual photo of ski jumper in the air. The jumper had problems with wind, which has tilted him aside. It can be seen, because the right leg with ski is lower than left. The jumper had fortune to land successfully.
Panasonic FZ-50, 100 mm on built in lens, Manual 1/1000, F5, ISO 100, Handheld.
Processing: crop, contrast improvement with highlights and levels.

Good action shot. Minor suggestions are to not overlap with the tree, and to brighten the face a bit. The trees add good context. Good work.   Posted: 05/07/2023 16:41:02
Excellent action shot. The image is sharp and cropping looks good. Post processing is good as you could bring in more details in the shadow area. A Walter suggested, if there was no overlap with the tree, it would have been a perfect shot.   Posted: 05/09/2023 09:32:13

Good capture. You have the right amount of sharpness and color. It would have been ideal if the bottom of one ski wasn't merging with the tree. I played with showing more of the bottom of the image to play up the height of his jump. I concluded that your image is a good crop the way you have it.   Posted: 05/18/2023 01:36:48
Nice image! The only thing I can think of improving is lightening the shadow on the skier's face. If you wanted to you can probably take out the trees in photoshop. The one on the right would be easy to do with the healing tool.   Posted: 05/21/2023 21:44:21
Thank you for all the comments. I will lighten the face. I didn't want to remove the trees, because I usually use the same photo for PJ, where it's not allowed.

WOW, great action shot! Good post processing of color and brightness. I agree with lightening the face just a bit. I feel that you may have a better image if you do not crop. In your original, which includes more trees, gives a better sense of the hight of this jump.   Posted: 05/28/2023 07:27:28
