Background Information:
Here's a little-known fact: New Jersey has more cherry trees than Washington, D.C. Every spring, residents and visitors alike can see the largest cherry blossom collection in the United States.

Each year, thousands of visitors are awed by the exquisite colors of pink and white. The park first adopted a pink and white hue in 1927, when Caroline Bamberger Fuld donated 2,000 cherry blossom trees to the Essex County Parks system in memory of her late husband.

Branch Brook Park also holds the distinction of being the first county park in the United States opened to the public. It was designed by the famed Olmsted Brothers landscape architectural firm, established by the sons and successors of Frederick Law Olmsted, the designer of Central Park in New York City.

Well captured. I like the contrast with the tree trunk and the frame filled with cherry blossoms.   Posted: 05/23/2022 15:33:45

Very unusual image! I like the composition with the diagonal limb of the tree and the bright cherry blossoms almost filling the rest of the image. Although I've been in NJ hundreds of times, I've ever been to or heard of this park.   Posted: 05/24/2022 15:56:07

I like the contrast of the pink leaves against the white clouds. It looks like the shape of a face at the end of the trunk, in the center of the picture. Captured nicely!   Posted: 05/28/2022 07:55:33
