The Wall by Barbara Asacker

April 2026 - The Wall

About the Image(s)

While I was at a restaurant waiting to be served always looking for something to photograph, I thought the wall and ceiling were interesting and unique. I used my cellphone. It was processed in Photoshop and Nik Silver Efex.

This is a great semi-abstract that, at first, confuses the senses. It only goes to show what a smartphone can do, in the right hands.   Posted: 04/06/2026 08:58:28

Barbara this is a fascinating image. Its confusing perspectives and abstract shapes make this an intriguing composition. I liked it a lot. Almost space-age too with an alien ship coming in from the top left.   Posted: 04/08/2026 09:45:37

Barbara--You recognized an unusual and interesting composition in an unexpected place and made the capture. Bravo! The juxtaposition of the bridge structure and the "UFO" is intriguing, and the little lights are a wonderful detail. I love it.   Posted: 04/09/2026 16:15:32

Barbara, this is wonderful and creative. Just like Peter, I also see the incoming spaceship. I think it is modernity coming for a dialog or perhaps only out of curiosity about the Gothic stone arches and swinging cables of the Brooklyn Bridge. A meeting between old and new. Tonal separation is great and very well handled.   Posted: 04/13/2026 19:03:24

I like the geometric and abstract feel of this image is very interesting. It definitely keeps my eye in the frame of it.
I wonder what it is, I think the bottom part is a bridge.   Posted: 04/19/2026 01:23:08
