This image is from the model shoot at the PSA festival in Portland. Young ballet dancers acted as models and posed for us in different positions and clothes. I decided I would take many pictures of the same ballerina and later put them together in a montage that aimed more at showing dance and movements in a dreamlike way. I worked quite extensively in post processing with two images of the ballerina as a base, one of them blurry and the other sharp. I distorted and enlarged part of her and used several detailed pictures of her skirt to stitch them together in a floating circle around the girl. I had a fun time both at taking the pictures and working with them later.

Magnificent presentation of the ballet dancer! Your composition and processing are flawless. Love everything about the image. It's perfect and has strong impact. Well done, Maude.   Posted: 12/03/2025 15:57:24

Well executed multiple exposure which captures the movement of the dancer. I would darken the background to create more separation with the subject.   Posted: 12/18/2025 15:13:46

Maude, I like this very much. Creative and and carefully composed. Rather than a static pose you have captured the dancer's movenment in a still image which is greta. I agree with Mark that a slight darkening of the background would bring her forward more and you might consider the rather bright areas on her face and up stretched arm.   Posted: 12/19/2025 09:02:27
