About the Image(s)

It was a beautiful, sunny day at the racetrack. The jockeys run the horses around the track between races. I stood close to the rail as the horses were quickly trotting by hoping to catch a good shot. As this black beauty passed, he turned his head, looked at me, and smiled. I loved this horse, his expression, and his shadow. I shot it with my cellphone, and I wish it were sharper. I tried to present the horse as best as I could. First, I tried to crop out the background and shadow. Then, I decided not to crop. In the final version, I darkened the background a bit. Both versions and the original color version are included. It was processed in Photoshop and Nik.
