About the Image(s)
I normally attend the annual PSA festival and this year, it took place in Portland, Oregon. My husband and I decided to drive to the festival from our home in the DC area of Maryland. What an adventure, and what an opportunity to learn more about this great country! Yellowstone National Park was on our way, and we made a stopover there. I took this picture in the central part of the park, close to a spot with many geysers. I saw the silhouettes of people walking on the boardwalk to get closer to the geysers, and while looking at my husband who was wearing his cowboy hat as protection against the sun, I came to think of LUCKY LUKE who was one of my younger brother’s favorites. A Lucky Luke cartoon was on Swedish television, and there were comic books about him and the Dalton Brothers. I used to read those books aloud for my brother, and I also used to watch the cartoons on the television. So, with my own cowboy in Yellowstone, the only thing I could think of was the Lucky Luke song “I’m a poor lonesome cowboy a long way from home”. Click!"
