About the Image(s)
This is not as good as I wanted it to.
The sail should end in the right corner above in a point.
I failed. But I like the abstractness, the reduced form, the swing of the sail.

This is no failure. The line of the sail has both a diagonal and two curves, which create interest. Then there is the contrast between the dark lines on the right and the curve on the left and you have kept the tones under control. You have made a lovely abstract and minimalist photograph. My wife loves it - she feels it is very peaceful.

Great abstract, Juergen. It's simple and effective. Love the curve of the sail. You captured its' lines and tones nicely. The white background adds a calming mood. Very nice.   Posted: 07/13/2025 18:13:49
A simple, abstract image with pleasing lines and texture.   Posted: 07/14/2025 00:18:41
Jurgen, is it a failure if you have created a talking point? Great artist frequently provokes discussions about small features. For me, I like the simplicity of the image and the fact that the sail disappears off somewhere else out of the image. The stark black line of the sail is the image's strong point and the delicacy of the rest provides a very nice contrast.   Posted: 07/17/2025 08:56:32
Jurgen--I can see why you wanted to have the upper right corner end in a point; it obviously would be compositionally advantageous. However, I do not see failure when I look at this image. The graceful lines of the sail speak eloquently of wind and sunlight and speed. The clean minimalist appearance is calm and inviting. You have shown us a lovely image.   Posted: 07/26/2025 16:29:59
