About the Image(s)
These leaves are part of a Pothos plant that is over 35 years old. It sits in my family room receiving the perfect amount of sunlight to thrive. My tender, loving care helps too. On a recent day, the morning sun was shining through the windows backlighting its' leaves. They were glowing and deserved to be photographed. Hopefully, I captured its' beauty at that moment. I submitted the color version to my camera club's competition.

The mono conversion helps to draw attention to the texture and tonal variations in the leaves. I prefer the mono version.   Posted: 02/01/2025 17:27:23
Barbara, this mon image just shows how powerful that mode is as the colour version has nowhere near the impact. I like the composition and the crossover section although I think that might be better if it was slightly sharper which seems odd to say as the rest is perfectly sharp. The smaller leaf bottom right is needed but is just a little over-exposed and burnt out on its edge.   Posted: 02/09/2025 17:16:34
Barbara--I think this is lovely. The two main leaves seem like they are having a conversation. The monochrome shows the shapes and textures very well. Very nice!   Posted: 02/13/2025 16:14:08
Monochrome is perfect for this shot, bringing out the impact, form and lovely texture of this plant. A lovely clean shot. The small third leaf is important.   Posted: 02/19/2025 11:18:03
