The photo of a water lily was taken at Longwood Gardens botanical garden in Kennet Square, PA. The image was originally taken in color and converted to monochrome in Luminar Neo with other basic adjustments. Additional adjustments were made in the NIK Collection’s Silver Effex.
Settings: Tripod mounted Olympus E-M5mIII with Olympus 75-300mm f4.8-6.7 lens at 100mm (200mm 35mm equivalent), aperture priority, F8, 1/250sec, ISO 200 with polarizing filter.

Hi Mark,
Nice presentation of the water lily. You captured tack sharp details on the flower. The light and shadows on the lily adds interest. I think if you darkened the background a little the lovely lily would stand out more. Nicely done.   Posted: 02/04/2025 00:54:41

Hi Mark--Welcome to the group! Monochrome certainly shows this lovely waterlilly at it's best. The starburst shape of the flower is dynamic. The large lillypad is suggested just enough to be intriguing. Beautiful image.   Posted: 02/13/2025 16:46:38
