About the Image(s)
I was inspired by a video on You Tube to create the illusion of a pear falling. Hopefully it worked. An off camera flash was used to capture the image. It was processed in Photoshop and Nik Silver Efex.
Nikon D500; 16-80 lens@55mm; f/8; 1/250 second; ISO 100;
off camera flash.

A good illusion, and I hope you share the secret :-) It is a nicely grumpy pear, full of character.
My one suggestion would be to take it into camera raw again and to drop the highlights.

Barbara, this is great. I love the simplicity of it and the precarious angle of the pear and its shadow. I agree with Gerard about the highlights but other than that it's perfect. I will look up the link and try something similar.   Posted: 12/15/2024 12:34:06

I like the sparseness of this, and the tension at the moment of falling, a tension that might be increased if it were a glass of wine rather than a pear! Technically lovely tones. I don't mind the highlights.   Posted: 12/15/2024 15:16:04
