About the Image(s)
This was taken in a posh shopping arcade in Munich. The reflection was the main interest for me. I also like the blurry people moving around. Hope you
enjoy it.

Hi Kathleen,
Great perspective of a busy shopping mall. Love the reflections and sparkles of light throughout the image. Good story. Nicely captured.   Posted: 12/07/2024 17:30:44

Yes, this is really a very engaging image, Kathleen!
Reflections, lighting, the star-burst from likely the small aperture used during exposure ... together make a very dynamic picture. It very much imbues the Holiday frenzy we may encounter in many large communities.   Posted: 12/10/2024 12:07:42

I echo Lance's use of "dynamic" which was also my first thought, particularly helped I think by the contrast of the still and burred people (movement accentuated by the stationary). For me though the key element of the composition is the strong, off-center display case which thrusts my eye down into the space: it seems to drag me into the arcade.
[ not something I would normally key off, but I see two types of "crosses" in the image which is kind of an ironic reversal of the church vs commerce debate around Christmas]   Posted: 12/11/2024 15:23:06

Kathleen, this is a very vibrant image. I love the movement you have captured here and the off-centre display stand is just right. I enjoyed very much.   Posted: 12/15/2024 12:45:16

This is a tale of two pictures, right and left, but the reflection enhances and multiplies the lines and people in a subtle and interesting way. It all hangs on the still point of the couple, in the middle third, who are not blurred by movement because they are standing in conversation. The eye roves around because there is so much to enjoy but then comes back to the still point before setting off again.   Posted: 12/15/2024 15:31:44
