About the Image(s)
I've always wanted to see Orioles - before this year I've only ever glimpsed some orange.
Then I found out about grape jelly. I don't know how it took me so long.
Taken in my backyard last spring.

oh, and this photo had already been run through Topaz AI, I always choose 'auto' though.

Your beautiful orange Oriole is adorable! I love its head in profile and wonder what it's so focused on. Roy's crop gives the Oriole a bit more presence and also takes out the bright highlight on the edge.   Posted: 09/03/2023 18:03:03
Hi Sylvia, nice photo of the Blackyard bird. I like the cropping of the Roy better. The composition with the diagonal branch gives the photo something positive.   Posted: 09/04/2023 03:14:58
Hello Sylvia, what a lovely bird! I've not seen one of these before. Love the highlights in its eye.
And yes, the crop version Roy has done adds to the image.   Posted: 09/04/2023 04:28:03

Hi Sylvia, nice sharp image with great color contrast between the bird and background. Agree with previous crop recommendations. We never see Oriole's in our yard and just recently learned about the grape jelly, so I'm anxious to try my luck this spring. Very nice image.   Posted: 09/04/2023 05:02:06

Very nice image Sylvia. Tack sharp and really like the turn of the head and catch light. Like Roy's crop and might even make a nice vertical. Grape jelly? Does it really attract them?   Posted: 09/18/2023 17:38:02

Sylvia, thank you so much for the reply and the Jelly feeder picture. We live in Florida and I read that Orioles are here in the winter so I will definitely give it a try.   Posted: 09/19/2023 18:42:24
We have started seeing a few orioles here in South Carolina. This one is beautiful with fantastic coloring. I agree with the suggested crop to put more focus on the bird. Thanks for the tip with the grape jelly.   Posted: 09/24/2023 16:19:02
