The bird is a Glossy Ibis. Made with Canon EOS R6, EF 300/2,8 IS USM+2xIII. ISO 400, 600 mm F:5,6 1/400 sec. In Lightroom I made a crop, auto settings, white and black clipping, Added texture, clarity, made denoise, sharpening,edge masking. In Photoshop adjusted levels, resized the image.

Ernoe - you NAILED the story - kudos kudos kudos - technically spot on although I would open the shadows on the subject - also you have catchlight in the eye so I brightened it in my VF along with opening the shadows and cropping down a touch - I wish there was just a "touch" more foreground - having said that - wildlife is about story and yours is a 10+ - just outstanding!
