Roy - I'm thankful for your title because your description didn't tell the story. After reading it, I did a little research and learned something new. Wildlife photography is about telling a story, and you've captured an excellent one-kudos. Without the title, I initially missed what was happening, so it really adds to the viewer's understanding.

Beyond the story, this is a terrific behavioral capture. The spectacular color provides immediate impact, while the exposure is spot on and the detail in the bill, plumage, and eye is outstanding. My only suggestion is that the tree trunk and the large dark green area on the left compete a bit with your spectacular subject. If there were a way to reduce their visual weight-with a slightly tighter crop from the left and subtle desaturating the green leaves I think they would become more supportive elements rather than minor eye-pullers. TERRIFIC SHOT!

Roy,

Your timely capture of the Fiery-billed Aracari is perfect. The wide crop is very important to the story. Your selected settings have produced the perfect and coveted bird-in-flight eye-level image.   Posted: 08/05/2026 15:01:53

You did a great job with this photo Roy, you can see the nest, the bird flying away with a piece of trash, good composition with this wide crop. The bird is colorful, detailed, looks good in front of the blue sky's background.   Posted: 08/07/2026 15:04:33

Bah, what a photo. Parameters I like to use! Sharp as a knife catching this bird in flight. Did you reduces the dust? I think, the colors would be more expressive. Big shot! Congrats!

I have tried it with a screenshot. RAW / Photoshop would make it even better!   Posted: 08/17/2026 21:12:51

Another dynamic action shot from a bucket list location. I like the crop and the way it pulls my eye through the image.   Posted: 08/23/2026 19:53:48
