I find it very difficult to get the catchlight in the eyes of these very small birds. Detail is spot on and I like the dynamic of the bird perched in the diagonal with its feathers fluffed out. The bottom right corner is a little distracting but I am not sure how I would change it.   Posted: 07/05/2025 15:41:35

I can almost feel the warm sun on Wren's back! I tend to crop in on many photographs, to bring out more detail of the subject.   Posted: 07/08/2025 13:52:20

For a resting subject you did a fantastic job on this with the wing action that brings this image to life - I agree with Roy and would crop in a bit - see my VF - also, I sharpened to try to reduce the softness of the log, but it's still a bit soft. I also tried to brighten just a touch and added a bit of a vignette to pull the eye away from the soft log - all in all an excellent image, but the soft log does militate against it a bit   Posted: 07/09/2025 19:30:04

I like the crop as is. It gives perspective to the adorable tiny wren, while highlighting the finely detailed textures of feathers and wood. The lower right corner is a little distracting and might benefit from being darkened.   Posted: 07/12/2025 21:40:20

Great detail and texture in the bird and the tree. I would probably crop it in a little to remove the softness in the bottom right, but that's just a personal preference. Great shot!   Posted: 07/13/2025 00:51:23
