Yeah, Kati, that's it! Wonderful crop (or another take?). The eyes will mark the most important point of the photo. Well placed!   Posted: 05/03/2025 23:42:50
Thank you, Peter! This is another take. I like the black and white with yellow eyes! :)   Posted: 05/06/2025 23:16:00
Great photo. It seems to me the whites are a little blown out. I sometimes lower the "highlight" Lightroom bar a bit to regain a little feather texture. White birds are tough!   Posted: 05/05/2025 18:10:28
I looked at my histogram and it was not cut off on the right. Perhaps the lack of detail was in part due to the overcast conditions on the soft white feathers? I lowered the highlights in Lightroom as you suggested, and I did get a bit of detail back.   Posted: 05/06/2025 23:20:37
Kathleen - nature with an artistic flair! This is really nice. The subject's eyes make this image, but the eyes are not the first thing that draws my eye - the first thing I noticed was the large V of the subject's wings - that said, I think the image is beautiful   Posted: 05/07/2025 13:58:27

Kathleen, normally not a fan of high key but I really like this one! Agree with butch about seeing the V wings first then the eyes that are perfect. This almost looks like a pen and ink drawing. Very clever and artistic!   Posted: 05/10/2025 12:18:39
This is a fantastic photo Kathleen. Its eyes seem to see through you. I am jealous that you could have met with this wonderful bird!   Posted: 05/11/2025 08:34:15
