I love the brilliant jewel tones in this image ~ sapphire blue, gold and the emerald, green eye! It wonderfully shows the Anhinga's commitment and skill in nest building. You captured a beautiful wing position as well. Just lovely!!   Posted: 02/06/2025 23:18:10
Thank you Kathleen, you made me feel good :-)   Posted: 02/06/2025 23:23:36
Butch, I agree with Kathleen's assessment that the color and story is great, but I had a little trouble with the branch, bill and head interface. I tried cropping the image to the branch and the birds left wing, to clarify that part of the photograph, but I ran out of resolution.   Posted: 02/07/2025 21:25:22
Thanks Roy - btw, with PSA Nature - story is king and if I could have found an anhinga carrying a log I would have used that ;-)   Posted: 02/07/2025 22:03:35

Wonderful picture with the twig that's being carried to the nest. The background is colorful and exciting. I could imagine this scene before a homogeneous background. On another note, I am sorry to say that my comment for your previous picture has disappeared.   Posted: 02/08/2025 15:34:07
Thanks for your comments Doc

Butch, building nests, bird often have their problems with the material. That's nature - and a wonderful photo documenting how birds are working. If somebody, who is not so familar with nature photography, should rate the photo, he might be disturbed by the criss crossing of the beak. I know how hard it is to have both aspects in one photo. In my opinion a perfect photo!   Posted: 02/15/2025 04:36:07
...and I'd call your's a "perfect review" :-) - OK, I was being facetious, but thank you Peter, and for what it's worth, watching them was fascinating, your comment is most appreciated.   Posted: 02/15/2025 15:08:24
I know many guys complaining about things they cannot access. Those, who are part of the nature are appreciating photo like yours. I'm doing well in the nature ... :)   Posted: 02/15/2025 16:34:01
