About the Image(s)
Back at surf side. I spend so much time at the beach. Each time I go to photograph, I look for different themes. For example, during one visit, I worked with sea foam. On this particular visit, to Trinidad, California, I sought out curves. But the most important thing is great light. I can't say I had great light on this day. It doesn't happen often.
Shot on a Canon R5, Canon 15-35 lens at 21mm. 1.3 sec, f/22, ISO 50.

Hi Dan,
Thank you for your comment.
Yes, the lighting is amazing. I like the reflections and color palette. The birds add the story. Very nice.
The sea stacks got my attention, especially the one at the far back framed between the big stacks. I like that.
Thinking back on your images in the past, I feel this image framing is a bit loose. I liked the cropped tight version better (based on my attempt). And maybe it is because of my monitor, but the trace of waves is a bit bright for me.   Posted: 09/09/2023 21:20:00

Hi Dan. Outstanding seascape. Gorgeous light, beautiful color, flowing curves, leading lines, (dang) seagulls, you got it all! Print it, hang it on a wall, post it on social media, enter in a contest and sell it. A work to be proud of.   Posted: 09/12/2023 11:07:59

Hi Dan, What a beautiful image - I hope one day to be able to take a picture like this one. I like everything about it, the composition, the colors, the softness of the waves. And the time does seem to stand still.   Posted: 09/15/2023 16:26:58
Thank you, Gloria.
As you may have heard, I'm leaving the group. I plan to check in and see how you're doing. I am looking forward to watching your photography grow. You have talent and I like seeing how you put memories and life's experiences into compelling images.   Posted: 09/15/2023 17:11:49

Hi Dan. Time stands still … but I guess, sadly, it does not if you are moving on from the group. I am sorry to hear that. I've considered your comments & suggestions, as well as your images, of great value in helping me grow as a photographer.
This one is another classic. Form and color coming together in a way that is difficult to articulate but signature to your style. Your subject here of the sea and shore is perhaps one of the most ever changing. But you've allowed us to pause that, as I think you must have in being there, and enjoy all that that particular moment in time allows. Perhaps there is a much greater message in that.
If you are indeed leaving, you will be missed. I hope that photography continues to fill your heart as your images and wisdom has done for us here.
