Hi Bruce, the b/w image is better, the high contrast works really well!   Posted: 07/07/2026 00:46:03
That's a great subject, Bruce, nice find! My immediate impression was that I liked the b/w version better, no question. After looking at it a bit, I started to miss the colors. I think there might be more contrast between the b/w building and the colorful surroundings? Does b/w makes things gloomy sometimes?
This makes me want to see more detail in the building. Do you have a higher res version? At this size, it feels a bit static without more to explore.   Posted: 07/08/2026 20:42:54

Hi Bruce. For me B&W is definitely the right choice. The subject is the church and its "Lego block" construction (which is really interesting). The color in the sky and grass just distracts from the focus on the church.
With that in mind, I also don't think you need as much of the foreground grass as you have. I'd crop it, maybe as far as to have the shadow of the church run into the corner of the frame.
The only other thing I'd consider is darkening the background and brightening the church a bit to get it to pop a little more. I tried that below.
I think you should send this to Lego and suggest they make a new kit. :)

Hi Bruce,
Really nice scene with great contrast.
I have to agree with Robert's suggest crop.
