Images are taken from a moving and rocking train. Images come in and out of frame in an instant. Tripod and stabilizing equipment use out of the question. The view is mostly downward from a second floor view.
This image was taken enroute between Portland Oregon and Chicago Illinois.

Given all of the restrictions you endure in recording the scene, I quite like your image.
The only thing that I could wish for, which admittedly, given your constraints, is exceedingly wishful that the tops of the two silos would ideally have been either slightly above or below the hilltops in the distance. Posted: 04/03/2026 00:44:20

That's very nice, Kenneth. I love the rolling hills. With the silos silhouetted against a dramatic sky would make a really nice scene. Next trip is to the Palouse area of eastern Washington to catch some of those rolling grassland scenes from Steptoe Butte. Posted: 04/03/2026 21:39:37
