About the Image(s)
This month’s photograph is from the city of Mafra in Portugal.
The image is of the interior of the Roman Catholic Basilica which is located in the central heart of one of the Largest Palaces in the World. The central nave is 63 meters long and only 16.5 meters wide. My wide angle lens exaggerates the depth. This specific photo was recorded from an external walkway while looking through a glass window, fortunately aligned with the axis of symmetry. As public access and tripods were not allowed, all I had to do was to hold my camera exactly level, front to back, and side to side. I used my lens hood to stabilize the camera gently pressed against the glass.

You've captured it! There seems to be reflective glare on the lower left and right?   Posted: 04/03/2026 02:44:26
Did you focus stack the image? There appears to be two windows/openings where one should be.   Posted: 04/03/2026 19:01:53
My submitted image is the result of a single capture. Every time I look at the image, I see something else. :)   Posted: 04/03/2026 22:12:02
I appreciate your kind response. I agree with your fantasy reference.   Posted: 04/03/2026 22:07:43
