About the Image(s)
During the recent global pandemic, I was on a very short leash.
I chose, instead, to review my past images, and discovered that I love symmetry . . .
a compositional notion of which I was not aware!
My submitted photo is a 4 image composite of a single original image of a hotel my architectural firm designed.
I chose to re-imagine the images as a single composition featuring my love of symmetry.
The resulting composited image contains 3 vertical axes of symmetry.
I employed my Sony Mirrorless camera with a 17mm Canon Tilt-Shift lens.

The glass facade blends interior and exterior; reflections of greenery and buildings create layered visual narratives. The rocks, plants, and water feature soften the architectural rigidity and introduce organic contrast. The lighting appears neutral or diffuse.

Your 3 questions are all excellent and should be considered by each beholder.
The objective of my image is to celebrate symmetry by employing a single image in a way that extends the frame of the scene in a balanced way. For me, there are multiple "central points" that occur at each vertical axis of symmetry.

Thanks now I get it, after your explanation.
To me story is a sequence of events whereas narrative is the way those events are arranged. A story without narrative is just a list of events. A narrative without story is empty form.
ex: One of the finest examples of Bengali narrative writing is Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay's Pather Panchali, which masterfully blends rural life events with a deeply human, lyrical connection with nature. Posted: 12/16/2025 01:09:51
