Pisa Italy May 2023 by Bruce Flamenbaum

December 2024 - Pisa Italy May 2023

About the Image(s)

Pisa, Italy, w/o the faulty tower showing. Shot at f5.6 ISO 200.

In 2023, we rented a house for 3 weeks outside of Florence. Our daughter and family came to visit. We tried not visit Pisa because it was early June and the tourist rush had already begun. Reluctantly we took them to Pisa to see the tower and as expected were met with crowds and crowds of people. So thick were the crowds that getting into the church was difficult.

I like the way the statue stands out but would like to see more details. They seem to be carrying something but what?   Posted: 12/06/2024 18:55:28

Hi Bruce,
Thanks for your image. I enjoyed viewing it.
Do you recall the lens you employed? I am curious as to whether it was possible to expand the field of view just a touch to allow a bit more "breathing room" on the left side of the dome. Similarly on the right side and lower edge of your image, it is always difficult to know exactly where to crop for maximum clarity of the decorative elements on the sides of the buildings.   Posted: 12/06/2024 19:02:53

Hi Bruce,
Nice shot. The statue is no overlapped with the building, which is good. I might try to blur the building at the back to highlight the statue.
Thank you for sharing.
