About the Image(s)
The hills and rock formations around Sedona are an amazing color red. When lit by the setting sun the red is enhanced. I watched as the moon rose over these hills and took a series of pictures, this one stood out as having the best colors.

I like your composition. It seems soft all around.   Posted: 07/16/2024 01:10:00

I like your composition with the moon in the upper corner and the diagonal line of the ridge line moving down and away from it. I see the lighting as being good and to my eye you have sharp focus and good depth of field. The color contrast of the blue sky with the red of the Sedona hills is very effective, however in my opinion I think the red is a slight bit over saturated.   Posted: 07/17/2024 18:12:45

I have stood where you were standing when this shot was taken! Ed's comment about over saturation suggests he has not been there. Ed, the hills are actually that red!
Nice marriage of red, white and blue! Well done   Posted: 07/17/2024 22:24:30

I really like your composition here Neil, the moon's placement above the dip helps balance it. Starting on the left side, moving up toward the right and circling back to the moon.
I can't speak to the color, it looks like the sun was setting as the moon was rising? I see a shadow on the rocks?   Posted: 07/23/2024 02:34:09
