I have to say I like it. I also like how the tip of the tower disappears into the fog. I did not realize that there was a ship in the image until I studied it. It reminds me of a newsprint image.   Posted: 07/08/2025 05:26:54

Indeed, the ship is kind of dark and merged with the background.   Posted: 07/24/2025 01:55:23

A good mono image and good conversion. I like tee tip of the building disappearing. It is definitely and image that works better in mono than in color. SO well done   Posted: 07/13/2025 15:15:24

I like the composition with the tower being the main item of interest and set off center to the right. I agree with Francois in that this looks better in mono and I appreciated the high amount of contrast that you have. I don't quite agree with Darcy and Francois in that I'd like to see the tip of the tower. I think the dull sky really helps out to accentuate the buildings, the ship, and the water. Technically in regards to the lighting, focus and contrast I think you did a great job.   Posted: 07/22/2025 18:08:01

I was drawn to this scene because of the obscured tip of the tower - perhaps that's why it never occurred to me to remove the fog. Still, I'll try revealing the top and see how it changes the effect. Thank you!   Posted: 07/24/2025 02:02:25

Like the composition and the balance with the foreground. I also agree that this is great in B&W. Nice job processing it and love the little wisp of cloud at the top of the tower.   Posted: 07/24/2025 01:51:17
