About the Image(s)
I just finished the PSA "History of Photography" course and my last lesson required that I submit a photo that showed influence from Ansel Adams. This is the shot I picked and, similar to most of Ansel Adams work, I presented it in B&W. Lucky me, the instructor thought it was good. What do you think.
The Ochoco mountains are a small range in north central Oregon and pretty much off the beaten path.
I don't have any technical data as I've just had a MAJOR software failure and have yet to restore my technical photo files.

Nice shot! And I sympathize with your technical problems, I've had a lot of those recently.   Posted: 07/02/2025 16:24:33
You have channeled Ansel Adams very well. Great image.   Posted: 07/08/2025 05:29:35
My first thought was also that this looks something Ansel Adams would have done. Great mono image. Very simple image. In an ideal world I would have preferred not to see such deep blacks on the trees in the foreground. But still a great image   Posted: 07/13/2025 15:26:06
A beautiful monochrome conversion - you did well! I'm surprised to hear you just finished History of Photography. I completed mine a week ago with Geoff Blackwell - such a great instructor and mentor. I truly enjoyed that course 100%!   Posted: 07/18/2025 14:05:03

Nice grand landscape Ed! It is very Ansel Adams like! I'd like to see a bit more detail in the trees, but looks good other than that!   Posted: 07/24/2025 01:57:37
