About the Image(s)
I thought I'd try something mono this month. I was waiting to get a moonrise photo over the river in my town and these two caught my eye. Obviously the original was pretty dark however I didn't like it that much so I wanted to see if I could bring out some of the texture of the piling. After I did that I liked the mono version better. I played with the exposure to bring out the contrast then converted to mono, after which I played with the color contrast and I was pleased with the results. I'd like your opinions.
I was using my Canon R; RF100-500 lens at 428mm focal length and I was about 48 feet from my subject (14.66 meters); aperture f/16; exposure 1/80 sec, hand held; and ISO 100

To me, this is a bit flat and might need a bit more contrast and blacks.   Posted: 05/12/2025 00:18:02
