Life Without Barriers: This photo shows waves crashing over a strong orange rock. The blue sea contrasts with the warm colors of the rock, symbolizing the strength and persistence we have in overcoming challenges. Just like the waves that keep coming, we can face any obstacle and keep moving forward, reminding us that every moment is a chance to rise above and enjoy life.

I like the composition here, Jay. The way the rocks are offset to the lower RH corner invites the waves on to them. Excellent, subtle colors with the orange and blues. With regard to your concept of rising above challenges we need to consider the time horizon involved. One day the waves will have eroded the rocks.   Posted: 12/14/2024 21:26:48

I find this an interesting shot where you are showing the wave action on the rocks. I like that you used a fast shutter speed so that we can see the action of the waves. I consider the color contrast, with the white of the waves, blue of the water and the brown of the rocks a big plus. I think your lighting is good and I appreciate the very sharp focus.

While I think this is a very good shot I don't feel that your point of interest (the rocks) are really drawing me into a story. Perhaps that is just my bias, as I live on the Oregon coast and for me such scenes are very common.   Posted: 12/18/2024 16:55:23

I like the colors and the interaction of the swell of the water. I am almost having a problem with the perspective for me I fell like I am falling down towards the rock. There is nothing wrong with this just my reaction to the image.   Posted: 12/21/2024 19:02:37
