About the Image(s)
This was taken in January 2023 when I was in the Falklands for a day. An amazing place for penguins with a few thousand of King Penguins and a very much smaller number of Gentoo’s. There are other species there, but they are further away from Stanley and thus visitors who either visit on a ship which goes all the way round the island, or fly in and hire a car can get to. This little chick was only visible for a few moments - I was lucky to be passing then, as well as coinciding with the mother doing something interesting. Settings - 1/1,250.f6.3 ISO200 - taken at 284mm (FF 568) with Olympus gear. PP in Lightroom, mostly with masks for the mother and chic.
