Date of exposure: 09-01-2020 16:46. Subject: LITTLE EGRET CONSUMING FISH. CAMERA: Nikon D7200 with Tamron 100-400mm lens. Lens: f-stop f/5.6, Focal Length:200 mm, exposure time 1/1000 sec, 1425 ISO, pattern metering, Manual mode. LOCATION: More than 230 species of birds live in Mangalajodi, Odisha, India. It is also one of the largest wintering grounds in Asia. EDITING: I used PS CS 2024 to edit the frame, by a desktop computer. I used adobe camera raw 16.4 filters to enhance clarity, shadow details, brightness and exposure. I also used Topaz software to reduce digital noise and to sharpen details.

Sanat, I think maybe you could've cropped in even more, perhaps experimented with a slight vertical orientation. You captured the moment very well but the fish is somewhat obscured because the exposure in the area of the mouth is so dark. Do you ever use fill flash?   Posted: 01/13/2025 16:02:16

Sunat - you have an interesting image here, well caught. But as Jerry says, it's very dark by the head/fish. The whole image can be lightened, particularly with the shadow slider with the white of the bird lightened less through use of masks.   Posted: 01/16/2025 17:09:10
