About the Image(s)
Hummingbird feeding on ocotillo flowers. I took this image in the Sonoran Desert (2/9/2025) and waited for the bird to not have its bill deep in the flower.
Camera- OM-1
Lens- 100-400mm
ISO 500
f/6.3
1/1600 sec.
Post Processing-
I am still working on learning Photoshop.
I slightly increased brightness and reduced the as the hummingbird was a bit dark and the ocotillo flowers were bright. (If it were allowed, I would make changes just to the hummingbird). I slightly increased the saturation to bring out the color of the hummingbird. I cropped it to 11 x 14 as that fits nicely in a 16 x 20 frame.
Questions: Should I crop this in a vertical or horizontal format? Should I try to crop out the out of focus branch and flowers?
