I watched as mom hunted for food and then fed it to each of her two babies. The actual transfer was not a good profile of mom or baby.

Wonderful scene to capture! I love oystercatchers, and I don't think I've ever seen a juvenile at such a close distance. The eyes of both birds are nice and sharp, and I like the fact that the little one is eating something. Posted: 12/11/2024 20:05:30
Stephanie - cute shot - sun is coming from the left behind you - I like the baby with something its beak - behavior - good. Suggestion - all the background is distracting and if you have the opportunity to get at ground level - try it and let me know what you think. I know getting down may not be an issue, as opposed to getting back up. Posted: 12/11/2024 20:52:15
