About the Image(s)
This photo of Camden Harbor, ME was taken from the top of Mt. Battie overlooking Camden, ME. We were on our way to boarding the schooner “American Eagle” out of Rockland, ME for a weeklong cruise on Penobscott Bay. This was one of the first photos I took with my then-new Olympus EM-10 camera. There is little difference between the original and the final shot: a little cropping and a little cleaning of a few spots.

Mark, this photograph captures the cold blue water, lush green trees and grandeur of the coast of Maine. There is a lot for the eye to scan in this broad landscape image, which is its strength and weakness. There are multiple subjects. Perhaps cropping to constrain the image to the bay with the boats might be one way to redefine the subject of this drone-like shot?   Posted: 09/10/2023 17:32:37
Thanks, Charles, your point is well made. In PP I tried many different crops, but kept going back to this one. Guess I get overly attached to my sweeping panorama. Tonight my camera club is having a critique session; I'll bring this pic along plus a more rigorous crop.
