About the Image(s)
We have had an old-fashioned winter here in Western New York. It started before Thanksgiving with
steady snow lasting until mid-March. So, there has been many opportunities to photograph how
beautiful winter can be. This month’s submission is a classic image of a red barn contrasted with the
cool blueish snow. To render the final image, in addition to cropping, I slightly changed the hue and
saturation of reds, opened up the shadows, reduced noise, and replaced the sky with one I had in my
library. Camera data: Nikon D750, 120mm, f/9, 1/320, ISO=320.
