Hello. I was working on my cityscapes and captured an interesting modern building in the middle of a small, California Delta, farm town. It was nothing to write home about, so I decided to use a technique I learned in a Fine Art Architectural Photography class. A lot of what I shoot is sort of abstract, so I gave it a try. The image was captured with my Nikon Z, at 18mm. The ISO was 400 at f/11 @1/125sec. Editing was done in Adobe Camera Raw and Photoshop

Don, this is so creative. Looking at the original, not many photographers would imagine what was in your mind's eye. I like the conversion to black & white and the strong vignetting. My only recommendation for consideration concerns the shadow areas. Would lightening them a bit still be in service of the effect you wanted? Posted: 04/11/2026 15:06:27
