About the Image(s)
Stormy weather in Sydney can create some excellent swells along the ocean beaches. Taken at Narrabean beach, this brave photographer was up close and personal to the action. There is an ocean swimming pool between him and the wave, so he was reasonably safe.
Sorry, I cannot show the original. I am having issues with LR.

Brian,
There are many interesting elements to this photo. The alignment of the photographer and the wave is obviously an excellent element of the photo. What I also like is the little color of the lifesaver doughnut and the colors of the rock and waves. The result does make one worry about the safety of the photographer!

Brian, this photo pops, it has power. Lots of candy for the eye. And it tells a dramatic story. I can't suggest much other than to maybe darken the sky a bit and do what you can to increase the contrast within the explosive wave. High marks!   Posted: 12/17/2025 23:50:44
