About the Image(s)

This photo was taken from the Cape Flatter Trail in Washington State, capturing a stunning view from over 100 meters above the sea. I used a 12-100mm lens on my Olympus OM1 (equivalent to 200mm on a full-frame camera). With this setup, I can shoot handheld at a 1/4-second shutter speed without the need for a tripod. In post-processing, I made adjustments in ACR to decrease the lightness, enhance contrast, reduce highlights, and increase the variance for a more dynamic result.
For Mark's question: I always use Olympus for hiking, it is light. But I still have Sony for other events.

Quang,

I really like the crop and the color adjustments and make the photo. The only suggestion I would have would require re-taking the image to include more of the rock on the left. I've had some luck using the 2x1 aspect ratio.   Posted: 12/15/2025 02:48:55

Quang, wow, you captured the energy in that surf. Shutter speed was spot on. I also like how you brought out the blue and aqua tones in the sea water.   Posted: 12/17/2025 23:43:50
